Folks,

I hope all is well and everyone is having a festive christmas break! Just a quick one in relation to the applications opening in Jan 2025. I'm hopeful I can raise my ingame hours to the required thirty, which if I can will lead me to probably applying when the applications open. However, I had a question before I did so.

I've been looking at my shifts and comparing them to the recruitment timeline. What are the mandatory sessions to attend and roughly what time are they? The 17th - 19th Jan (the Candidate Advancement Programme Sessions) fall on an evening and two night shifts for myself so I'm trying to decide if it's physically possible to attend these or if it's going to be worth holding off on applying as to not waste people's time due to lack of attendance. I then have a similar issue with the graduation falling when I do a late shift, meaning that I won't be able to attend this at all (the perks of a 6 on 4 off schedule and doing this policing thing in real life hah).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

With thanks,
Zachariah

Hey there!

Don't worry, there is no recruitment circle without exactly this topic. You will be able to request a private CAP session which fits with your schedule. Same with the graduation - While it's a really nice event and sad to miss, there's always a way to receive a private introduction.

Evening,

Cheers for the quick reply. I imagined this would have come up a few times hah, unfortunately the older I seem to be getting the busier life seems to become. It does appear that it's only the CAP and the graduation that I'd miss, everything else seems to vaguely work out. The fact those can be set up private does indeed help! Guess I just need to try and get my 30 hours ingame time then!

Bet I couldn't drop you a quick message just to ask a second question, could I?

Really appreciate it,
Zachariah

We're always open to answer messages via PMs if it's any private matter. If it's a general question, feel free to post it here, others could have the same question!

Can I keep the same backstory but change my character's name? For example, I don't want the name Marlo Wilson anymore, but the backstory is so tough, and I want to keep it. Can I do that?

You can keep your background story.
You shouldn't use the same background story if you were disqualified for issues concerning your background story, though.

Will a lengthy admin record prevent me from ever getting into the faction? Even if it is beyond 9 months since my last infraction?

We evaluate administrative background per application and activity, as you could also undergo a prolonged leave of absence for nine months; we also assess the specific record you have - so if you were banned six times for mass DM and trolling, it's likely to be denied, but if you just received warnings for a few minor incidents and kicks, we perhaps can work with it. I'll recommend you submit your application.

There are currently no set dates. You can reasonably expect a schedule to be available in March.
