  • Born out of Reno, Nevada as a single child, Connor Pierce was brought up in a fairly happy home at a young age despite the Pierce family's lower-to-middle-class status. With his parents, Julie and Francis Pierce opting to conform to traditional standards in which Francis, an on-the-road long-haul truck driver and Julie had been a stay-at-home Mother, this led to Connor's upbringing being in the light of his Mother's nurture as opposed to having the strong Father figure many of Julie's friends would go on record of saying that Connor truly needed; And they weren't wrong. Whilst many of his friends growing up found themselves drawn to sports like basketball, baseball and football, Connor was often found with his head buried in numerous books practically from the day he was able to read on his own, which soon became something of a coping mechanism due to the rather dark turn of events when his parent's marriage began to crumble. It began with the standard arguments that married couples frequently experience, but by the time he turned ten, tensions between Francis and Julie were frankly undeniable. Francis, who was already distant due to the demands of his job, became even more detached as he often stayed on the road longer than necessary to avoid coming home and Julie, struggling with the emotional weight of maintaining the household alone, found herself growing resentful. Those brisk arguments that were once behind closed doors became louder, more frequent and much more emotionally charged, leaving a lasting impression on Connor.

The eventual divorce wasn't only painful but traumatic for Connor, a naturally introspective and introverted child who had internalized the chaos around him as he had no choice but to watch his family unravel, blaming himself for the most part, and in doing so, developed a deep sense of insecurity. This resulted in Connor cocooning himself in a bubble, struggling to make friends and choosing to instead further retreat into his books as he found solace in those fictional worlds that sprung into his imagination, gaining some form of stability that his reality lacked from such a young age.

Now, with limited job prospects in Reno and that stability of a frequent, stable income that Francis once offered, Julie had to make a difficult decision to move west to Los Santos, San Andreas with hopes to start fresh. This came after months of a custodial battle as Francis swore that he would not let Julie take Connor from him as it was a Father's right to raise his child, though, the courts ultimately gave Julie sole custody after recognising how unreliable Francis' work life was, further souring the relations between Julie and Francis, and of course, damaging Connor's image of himself as he was threw in the middle of the ordeal. The move to Los Santos uprooted Connor from the familiarity of his routine; The few friends he had made, the quiet routine that he clung to. It was all up in arms, left to feel estranged from his surroundings.

As Connor moved into his teenage years, the emotional scars of his parents' divorce remained though, he slowly began to develop coping mechanisms for his anxiety, preventing him from spiralling. High school in Los Santos was certainly a challenging transition at first, from the faster-paced environment of the big city contrasting to the quieter life that he'd once known in Reno, compiled with the introverted nature he'd come comfortable with, it was difficult for him to make new friends. However, as Connor immersed himself in his schoolwork, he soon found that his academic success would provide him with a sense of control and general stability. The passion he'd used as a refuge was reading began to shift towards subjects that reflected his inner turmoil, developing a fascination with human behaviour, conflict and the reasons why people acted the way they did - And in his later years, this would naturally divert subjects to crime and justice. What initially began as a passing curiosity in books and documentaries inadvertently grew into a deep interest in psychology and criminology as the idea of understanding criminal motives and how those societal structures impacted human behaviour appealed to his introspective nature.

With the understanding he'd amass from his newfound interest, Connor recognised the importance of intervention in his own life and sought aid from school counsellors who'd taught him techniques to manage his anxiety and fear of instability. With the absence of a close Father figure still being an issue, Connor found guidance from one of his high school teachers, Mr. Fredrickson, who taught history and Law. The mentorship Connor was gifted gave him a newfound sense of direction and confidence as it helped the teenager realize that his passion for criminology and psychology wasn't just a passing interest, but a possible future. This developed into Connor throwing himself deeper into his studies, taking advanced classes in psychology and sociology with his projects frequently revolving around criminal justice and the themes found within. His social life never truly developed like his peers around him, but he found solace in his academic pursuits and by the time he had graduated from high school, with the continued assistance from school counsellors and the mentorship of Mr Fredrickson, Connor was able to develop a resilience that meant he was able to manage his anxiety more effectively - In fact, he was no longer just surviving but thriving in his way with this newfound direction and focus.

Following on from high school, Connor wasted little to no time in applying to the University of Los Santos, An Andreas where he'd be accepted and would go on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Criminalistics. At the university, he was able to surround himself with like-minded individuals who found intrigue in the human mind and were actually able to make a few friends along the way. This bolstered the teenager's confidence, enabling him to apply for a part-time campus-based job as a lab tech assistant to aid in the payment of his tuition. His studies enabled him to hone his analytical mind as he was able to dig deeper into those topics he found himself passionate about and the knowledge he'd gained at a younger age helped him understand not just the external world but also the conflicts he'd find in himself, and found that the study of criminalistics was the proverbial jigsaw in being able to help connect the dots and aid the family's and friend's of victims of crimes in gaining closure. This wasn't to say that university was without its difficulties, because Connor frequently struggled with the tidbits of anxiety and the pressure of graduating, but that determination and the mentorship he'd received in his teenage years from Mr. Fredrickson kept him on the straight path to success, eventually graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Criminalistics and Forensics Science.

Now, after taking a gap year from his education, Connor aims to continue his passion through employment with the Los Santos Police Department as a criminalist.
