  • Alexandra was born in Boston, Massachusetts in a family of Portuguese immigrants, to loving parents João and Isabella Góes. Her family would best be described as solid lower-middle class, and while they didn’t outright struggle, they didn’t live a lavish or luxurious lifestyle by any means. This manner of upbringing helped her to understand the value of money and hard work, making her eager to make a living for herself so that she could not only make her parents proud, but also unburden them of their financial obligations towards her. She would often work summers waiting tables at various cafes during her high school years in order to supplement her allowance income.

She could best be described average in most regards, not a social recluse but also not overly outgoing. In terms of schooling, much like any other student, she had subjects she liked, and subjects she didn’t, in her case, the former being primarily sciences, and the latter – humanities. She’s always had a mind that loved to explore and pry, to find out how things worked, tinkering with lab equipment in and out of class to satiate her curiosity. Despite her interest in one particular field, she knew that education was very important to her parents, and she made sure to maintain a GPA over 3.0 to increase her chances for financial aid for when she did go to college, and she did so by doing the absolute bare minimum in the subjects she “didn’t particularly care about”.

Once she graduated from high school, she enrolled at University of Massachusetts in Boston, a public university not too far from where she grew up. During the four years of her Forensic Science degree, she’d land a job as the lab assistant, netting her more extracurricular hands-on experience as well as some additional income, although she was still not quite sure what she wanted to do once she graduated.

She didn’t use to travel much, at least no farther than from Boston to New York every other New Year or so growing up, so following her graduation, she swapped one familiar place for another one, enrolling at New York University for a master’s degree in forensic pathology, complemented by a position at a nearby hospital where she worked as a pharmacist throughout her studies.

Her personal life outside of work and school was rather uneventful, and even after obtaining her MSc, she was still troubled by a sense of uncertainty for her future, still unsatisfied with where she was in life, realizing that perhaps she needed a change of scenery, and thus, she sprung at the opportunity when she got an offer from SanTech (San Andreas Institute of Technology), a position allowing her to relocate for a much needed change in life, an employment opportunity with prospective academic tenure, as well as an additional opportunity to learn at a discounting price due to her employment, and thus began her journey in Los Santos, a whole different coast.

Only two semesters into her employment she would realize that a career in academia is not for her, and after a slight falling out with the administartion, she would leave her teaching position in search for a different job, which wouldn’t take her long. She would soon find employment as a pharmaceutical scientist at a large pharmaceutical company, finally feeling comfortable with where she is in life, as she’s always wanted a purpose where she felt like she was making a difference, and this position offered both, financial stability and opportunity to make a positive impact.

Alexandra would go on to spend six years at the company, though all good things tend to come to an end, and they did for her too – her company found itself amidst a massive scandal and a lawsuit, the company declared itself bankrupt, and she once again found herself up in the air, though this time with some life experience and an understanding of what she wants to do in life. Having lived in crime-ridden Los Santos long enough, her will to make a difference was stronger than ever, though she realized that she was in no shape to fight crime the conventional way, but a job opportunity within the Los Santos Police Department she came across made her realize that she could help alleviate the burden of investigation, thus contributing in her own way to making a difference.

(( To be completely honest, I woke up at 2 PM my time (3 hours before this post) and this was not there. I know because I have notifications for this enabled. I was told by someone else that there was a response to it, but that was 30 mutes past the interview date. Don't know what to do now. But in all fairness, I don't consider 3 hours before the interview on the same day a fair response window. @Robert Bradford ))
