DUTIES
A Veterinarian diagnoses and gives emergency or first aid treatment, including surgery as needed, to animals in the care and custody of the Los Santos Police Department, primarily canines assigned to the Metropolitan Division's Canine Platoon; assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of employees assisting in the above work; advises Department employees on matters within the field of veterinary medicine; and exercises medical judgment and skill in the independent performance of these responsibilities, applying current veterinary medical principles. This position will not be required to conduct spay and neuter surgeries.
A Veterinarian serves and reports on canine behavior, conditions of illness, and other signs reflecting the animals' well being; dispenses medication and performs treatment at the direction of the Chief Veterinarian or Facility Supervisor; prepares and or dispenses feed and dietary supplements; may supervise or act as a head worker to staff involved in the above work providing direction and guidance; and perform other related duties.
This position plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the Department. They must be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work under pressure. Additionally, they must have excellent attention to detail and be able to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Applications are subject to review and only the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview.
Candidates from the eligible list are normally appointed to vacancies in the lower pay grade positions. Annual salary is at the start of the pay range. The current salary range is subject to change.
If you receive a conditional job offer, your appointment is subject to a MEDICAL EXAMINATION. Candidates must be determined to be medically qualified to perform the essential duties of a Veterinarian. Candidates must undergo a comprehensive medical examination given by a City physician. Part of the medical examination may include a PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION. The psychological evaluation will evaluate psychological factors related to successful job performance to determine if you are suited for the difficult and stressful occupation of a Veterinarian.
If you receive and accept an offer of employment to a regular position with the City of Los Santos, your employee benefit coverage (including health and dental coverage as well as life insurance) will commence approximately six weeks after your original regular appointment. All City employees are required to be Disaster Service Workers.

REQUIREMENT(S)/MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)
- Doctor's degree in veterinary medicine from an accredited veterinary school;
- Candidate must have a valid Los Santos Medical Practitioner License, or have an outstanding Personal Medical Licensing Application, to practice Veterinary medicine, as validated by the Los Santos City Department of Health and Welfare;
- Two years of full-time paid professional experience in the practice of veterinary medicine, or
- One year of graduate study in veterinary medicine or a closely related field.
- (( If your character does not meet the IC requirements relative to experience, you are still welcome to submit an application, but will be expected to roleplay fully accomplishing said experience upon job offer. ))
PROCESS NOTES
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application;
- Candidates must have proof of identity and legal right to work in the U.S. prior to the appointment;
- Candidates must possess a valid San Andreas driver's license which must be maintained through the course of employment. Candidates may not be eligible for appointment if their record within the last 36 months (( 30 days )) reflects three or more moving violations and/or at-fault accidents, or a conviction of a major moving violation (such as DUI);
- Applicants must list their school name, type of degree earned, and major and completion dates in the Education Section of the application.

- Prospective members must have accumulated at least ten (10) hours of playtime on their GTA World account;
- Prospective members must be in good standing with the community. They may be disqualified from the selection process if they have any administrative punishments (outside AFK kicks) issued within the last 60 days;
- Prospective members must have excellent proficiency in the English language;
- Prospective members must be able to adapt to the faction's roleplay expectations and have solid experience in accurately portraying and developing realistic characters. Prospective members will be portraying a government employee assigned to a Police Department. As such, their assets must be within a realistic range from our source material. Furthermore, they must understand the volatility of character development as they progress within the Department.
