Is 600 words the MAXIMUM allowed? We can't even go 10% over like normal essays, is it a flat 600, and everything over 600 is not allowed?

While we ask individuals to keep to our six hundred word count if there are a few words over, give or take ten percent then there is no issue.

They will be looked at when the time comes, you can still apply and even if your NC hasnt been processed yet as long as you have requested it, its not gonna affect you.

I'm hoping to apply for September's academy cycle, but next week (6-12) I may be travelling and therefore unable to access the game (albeit forums likely via mobile, depending on international roaming).

Can you please advise how this would work - I've read that 'private academies' can be an option under certain circumstances and wondered what the process for looking into that is if a candidate is successful in the initial application?

We no longer conduct academies. I’m sure going away for a week may not be an issue. You’d be invited for a department interview after review and approval of your application, and then invited to become an academy student upon acceptance of your DI. The academy process is simply read handbooks and the manual and complete an exam. There won’t be an issue with the DI being conducted just under a week after approval as there will still be other applicants doing it around the same time.

can I post the application as long as I requested the DF here on the forums, and I have it already accepted from the FD's side, or should I wait to get it approved here too, as the recruitment drive is only 3 days long and as I've seen, the requests are not getting accepted directly, so it takes pretty long and I don't want to miss this Drive too.

Yep! Feel free to post the application, should you pass you'll be put on hold till the DF request has been completed fully.

Hi, I want to apply with a 2nd character to the PD (sworn officer) but also I'm currently applying for a civilian employment position with my 1st character (currently waiting for the departmental interview). My question is do I need to change my forum name to my 2nd character's name in order to apply? or I could just leave my 1st character name and but some disclaimer during the application. Thank you.

EDIT: my first character name is Cristian Espinel.

You will need to change your name to your sworn employment applicant's name, as that will be considered your main character going forward in the application process for sworn. Your current name (Cristian Espinel) will be considered an alternative character here in the Department.

Hello, I was previously a P2 resigned 22/JUN/2021. Do I have to write a reinstatement just to get told to go through recruitment or can I just go and apply to be a P1 when recruitment opens?

You have to attempt a re-instate before applying for recruitment as a P1.

Heya, not sure if this is the right place for this, but I was curious as to what the Non Emergency Number for the PD was? I can't seem to find it in the Ride Along Section of this forum, thank you!
