Hey there,
what are the departments policies in regards to off duty work / side jobs as Police Officer - specifically in regards to work with private security assuming you have proper licensing and equipment outside the department. I have heard different things from Officers and would like to double-check on it to clear up confusion.

The department allows for reasonable secondary jobs on the side as long as they are rank appropriate. For example, a Lieutenant wouldn't be working an evening shift as a custodian. The one exception is security, enforcement or bouncer related work, which the department does not permit

20 hours in game, and the activity of you on duty varies per division usually holding at about 0.7 a month.

Hello.

I'm deaf but I am able to use microphone (can speak), I just can't hear at all. I was wondering if I can still apply to the LSPD despite my disability?

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately Recruitment does not deal with requests like these, that would be a question that you'd have to ask the Chief of Police directly and explain your situation in a more private setting.

Are recruitment waves opened when the department loses a certain amount of officers or is it just every certain amount of days?

Sorry please ignore, I found the answer after I posted.

i do have another: If I am a criminalist, and then get accepted on as an officer, so I still hold those qualifications that I had when i was a criminalist?

Yes.Your qualifications can move with you if you go from civ to LEO as long as you have not name changed the character.

Recruitment for law enforcement is unlikely to be reopening soon due to a large influx from last wave. Any updates will be of course shared with you all.

In the meantime I highly suggest checking out our civilians positions.

If I would be to join a civilian position, is there a period of time I would be restricted to apply for a PO position, if the recruitment would open soon after I got hired or during the time I would be in the hiring process for the civilian position?

You are able to apply for a LEO position at any time. There is not currently a program set for civ staff so the application process will be the same as any other LEO application.
