The Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) employs over 3,500 civilian employees in a variety of administrative, technical, scientific, and administrative support functions. The civilian employees of the LSPD work together with sworn officers in meeting the community's law enforcement and public safety needs.
There are over 150 civilian job classifications within the LSPD. Civilian employees are responsible for performing duties such as answering 911 emergency calls; staffing front desks in community police stations; collecting and analyzing evidence from crime scenes; collecting and identifying fingerprints; providing information to officers in the field; maintaining the Department's records; and preparing and administering the Department's budget.
All civilian employees are hired through the Civil Service process for the City of Los Santos. In addition to the application, some positions may require candidates to undergo and pass a qualifying examination or provide supplementary documentation as part of the selection process.

Step 4: Selection Process
Once you pass the Civil Service Examination(s), your name will be added to an eligible list. As soon as you are selected, you will be invited to the department's selection process, which includes an interview, and in some positions, a Training and Experience Questionnaire. Your invitation to each process will be sent via email.
Step 5: Job Offer
Once a candidate has been selected, the department will extend either a conditional or official job offer!
